I absolutely love this make-up mirror—it’s a huge upgrade from my 20-year-old one. The image is incredibly clear on both sides, and the all-around lighting makes a big difference. Having even lighting on both sides prevents those weird shadows on your face that can make makeup application tricky.
The magnified side is perfect for applying eyeliner. As my eyes have become more far-sighted, using a regular mirror has made this harder because everything looks blurry. The 10X magnification completely solves that problem and eliminates the need to wear glasses while doing my makeup (which never works anyway since they get in the way).
I also like that the mirror can run on batteries or with the cord. I usually use the cord, but it’s nice to have the battery option as a backup during a power outage. The thin black power cord is barely noticeable on my vanity.
The three lighting settings—warm, neutral, and cool—are excellent, and each one is dimmable, which lets me adjust the light exactly how I want it. Turning the mirror on and off is easy with the push of a button. Yes, if you use the first setting (which I do), you have to cycle through the other two to turn it off, but it only takes a few quick presses. Compared to my old mirror, where I had to twist a knob through multiple settings to turn it on and off, this is no inconvenience at all.
Overall, this is a fantastic mirror and absolutely worth the price.
